About Dwight Thompson
Dwight Thompson has become one of the most powerful evangelists of our time. Known worldwide for his legendary ability to captivate and move an audience, he has devoted his ministry to touching the lives of all those who are lost and hurting with a message of hope, found through salvation and deliverance in Jesus Christ.
The elements that make his message unforgettable include humor, compassion, deeply rooted Biblical convictions, and unique ways of illustrating the meaning of Scriptural phrases, parables, and promises.
Dwight has traveled around the world as an evangelist, preaching to millions and leading thousands of lost souls to Jesus Christ. His crusades frequently launch long-lasting revivals. With his ability to communicate the Gospel with power and charisma, he touches countless lives.
Dwight and Zonelle have been married for 57 years and have two children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Zonelle travels nation-wide with Dwight, and she is the founder of Operation STITCHES (Saving The Inner-city Through Christ’s Hope: Eternal Salvation), an outreach to inner-city children and their families.
God has given both Dwight and Zonelle a divine love for souls. He has created within the two of them an obsession for helping people transform their very existence.
Dwight and Zonelle know the worth of just one soul and are committed to continue being obedient to the calling God placed on them over 55 years ago.
Truly, Dwight Thompson is a man with a call on his life and a commitment in his heart to reach lost souls for Jesus Christ.
Wife of one of the most powerful evangelists of our time, mother of two wonderful children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, Zonelle Thompson feels the Lord has brought her full circle in Christian ministry.
She was raised in Dallas, Texas, daughter of Reverend Bracy and Mildred Greer. She was the only sister to four brothers, and she refers to herself as the PK (preacher’s kid) who married another PK, Evangelist Dwight Thompson. They have been married for 57 years.
Zonelle has traveled and ministered along side her husband throughout the United States and the world, for the past 55 years. She always thought that her contribution to the Lord’s Kingdom was rather predictable service within the roles of wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
That is, until the Lord inquired of her, “How many more notebooks will you fill, books will you read, seminars will you attend before you will go and make a difference yourself? How many times will you fly over your own mission field to reach foreign mission fields?”
While passing out Bibles in Russia, the Lord convicted her heart by asking, “How many Bibles have you distributed at home… in your own backyard?”
Zonelle became the founder and president of Operation; STITCHES in 1993. The acronym stands for: Saving The Inner-city Through Christ’s Hope: Eternal Salvation.
This missionary outreach to America’s crime-ridden, inner-cities at-risk children, brings the Good News of Jesus Christ in an 18-ft pink trailer, brightly painted with dinosaurs. STITCHES is a 6-foot dinosaur mascot, an ex-gang member himself, saved by grace. Today there is an invasion of many of these trailers in many inner-cities across this country, evangelizing children and families who would not otherwise hear the Gospel message.
God has given Zonelle a divine love for souls, and an obsession for helping people transform their very existence. She is both humbled and amazed by what the Lord is accomplishing through just one grandmother’s simple obedience.
